Madygirl...

Undivided, complete focus on one person is pretty hard to come by these days.

We all need it...

...and whether we admit it or not, on some level we all crave it.

I'm thankful for the few minutes that we shared here.

They're rare.

Valuable.

...and I need to remind myself to intentionally carve them out for everyone that matters to me.

The Graduate...

Some of my toughest assignments are personal.  Today, Liam had his last day in pre-k and it's really unbelievable to think we're here already.  It's times like these that I battle documenting moments...and soaking them in unobstructed.  I tried my best to strike a balance -- it's a constant struggle as a photographer and as a parent, desperately doing whatever I can to hold on to now...

I love you little man.  Mom & Dad are really proud of you...

Firsts. Lasts.

He came to us.

Oliver Daniel Waire.

8.5 lbs.

22 inches long.

The road here wasn’t easy.

I still sit and stare and admire the strength of Sara.

…and my love for her continues to swell.

Life.

Creating it is something else.

We’re fortunate.

Appreciative.

…and excited for the adventures that await us as a family of 5.

In the rare quiet moments that find me,

I let it all soak in.

Still surreal in some ways.

Familiar.

Comfortable.

Where we’re supposed to be.

Right here.

Right now.

Together.

…and I watch our little man grow and take all of his firsts alongside his siblings,

…and I reflect on how these same moments will also mark lasts.
