October...

Crisp air.

Clear, star filled skies.

A crunchy carpet beneath the feet.

A feast of color for the eyes.

The smell of fire embedded in the fibers of my clothes.

Soups.

Pies.

…a wee nip or two of whiskey.

My favorite time of year…

…when anything and everything seem possible.

Good things happen in October.

Throwing out my anchor.

Pulling up a chair.

Staying here awhile.

Brainstorming...

Dreaming out loud…

…of something tangible.

Focused on family.

Balance.

Noise.

Quiet.

Shuttling.

Being there.

Juggling.

Fatigue.

Sleep.

Exercise.

Motivation.

Thoughts that resonate.

Things to ponder.

A marriage of words and images that make people pause, perhaps smile, appreciate their life and all of its craziness.

The EVERYDAY Magazine.

THE EVERYDAY MAG (1).jpg

A special thanks to Ian Sanders for our SKYPE call yesterday...which provided the fuel to get this out of my head.

Time to breathe life into it…

The Furry Kid...

Often the original.

Neglected at times as their two-legged sibling takes center stage.

But always there.

Ready for us, when we’re ready for them.

Ready to be loved on…

…or stepped on.

Eager for a walk…

…or some rough-housing

…or a good pet.

The furry kid…

…carves out a special place in our hearts.

…teaches us unconditional love.

…becomes an integral part of our everyday.

Waterfront Property...

The best moments of late have come when I’ve settled in.

The other day with Oliver outside…

…sitting along the curb.

Our feet nested in the sump pump run-off.

A few random toys.

A beer.

Acceptance of what is/was.

Listening to him.

Taking direction from him.

Being there.

In it.

Letting all of my worries/thoughts take a backseat…

…while we soaked in our waterfront property.
