After a couple of days of cold rain, his bones decided for him. The heat was back on.
And after a walk in the morning with the pups, his bones decided for him again. A hot bath to soak in….and that book he’d been meaning to finish.
He came to know a few things over those few days. Scratch that. He came to feel a few things over those few days.
He smiled thinking about the pace of life. Back then. Now.
What was top of mind. Back then. Now.
He sat in the kitchen at the butcher block typing these words, listening to the birds outside, the hum of the refrigerator fan, the occasional drip from the sink, and the dogs breathing heavily in the next room.
He finished up his morning water, with coffee calling his name and a crow cawing outside.
Hello Friday.
The shelf life, remember?
There's something in the air.
Slowly, it's becoming palpable.
Change is on the horizon.
And while we can,
where we can,
however we can,
we're soaking each other in.
The shelf life, remember?
Something wild is lurking...
A window.
Inside.
Outside.
A container of things.
Seen.
Unseen.
Felt.
A vantage point with a restricted view.
The possibility of more…
…or less
…to the story.
Don’t overthink it.
Something wild is lurking.
Here. We. Are.
Time is a funny thing.
It stretches.
It shrinks.
We blink…
And…
Here.
We.
Are.
Last day of high school.
Embrace the wild ordinary...
It’s rained the last few days.
Fog is here this morning…
…alongside internal monologue which mirrors the weather.
Yep.
It’s that kind of Thursday.
On Tuesday, Andy sent me a video of a fox in his backyard.
‘What you doing in my garden John?’
I smiled.
‘I’ve missed you :)’ I said.
Last night, I saw a fox as we pulled up to the house.
I parked the car and walked after it but never saw it again.
I kicked off today with TAS10 training with Rose Rowkins (which I highly recommend).
I saw a fox again.
True story.
They continue to show up in my life.
Often enough that they can’t be ignored.
Often at just the right time.
Honestly, there could never be a wrong time :)
It feels like I’m being led somewhere and simultaneously nowhere.
There’s magic and mystery.
Sprinkled with curiosity.
Hope.
Adventure.
I don’t have an answer or a point — on second thought, maybe I do.
Embrace the wild ordinary.
