The wild ordinary…
…is a place
…a feeling.
It runs alongside everything.
We all share it.
And there’s no telling where it will take us.
It’s recognizing the fragility in the everyday.
How little we control.
It’s accepting there’s a shelf life to all of this.
To all of us.
It’s leaning into wherever we find ourselves and whomever we’re surrounded by.
It’s a knowing…
…that we don’t know.
Even my words here could never capture it.
Across from me...
Last night.
Across from me.
The simplest thing had me reaching for my camera.
Him.
Showered.
Stretched out.
Headphones.
YouTube.
His happy place for the moment.
The end of the week.
Everyone home -- safe and sound.
Me, with today 'off' because I decided that I'm not working on Fridays in February.
Time to breathe it all in.
Something to feel...
We are a tactile species.
In a digital world, The Genius Star is our latest obsession.
A tangible win.
For our brains.
For our hearts.
For bringing us together.
Something to feel.
Let's keep showing up for each other...
Earlier.
Seeing Mom off before surgery.
As I write, she’s in the OR to address a brain aneurysm.
With some luck and an amazing doctor, a stint will save the day and this chapter of her story.
I’m reminded again of the shelf life in all of this — in all of us.
Let’s keep showing up for each other.
