One long, passionate look...

“He was reaching that age, he was at the edge of it, when the world becomes suddenly more beautiful, when it reveals itself in a special way, in every detail, roof and wall, in the leaves of trees fluttering faintly before the rain. The world was opening itself, as if to allow, now that life was shortening, one long, passionate look, and all that had been withheld would finally be given.”

~James Salter, Light Years

True story...

So...

Last night.
Again this morning.

A fox.
Maybe the same one.

He's been hanging out in our neighbor's yard...
...alongside our fence line.

I know when he's there.
Finn barks his presence to the world and beyond.

The funniest thing?
Ever since I spoke about not seeing one....I've seen them.

So here I am saying, thinking...

...don't call me crazy...

...whatever it is you want
...whatever it is you're working on
...whatever it is that might fill your heart

Share it out loud.

Speak it into existence.

It must leave your head.

It will be heard.

If the universe doesn't help you with it...
...someone here will.

True story.
