Him.
Doing his favorite thing.
At at his favorite place.
Any chance that he's able.
Me.
Grateful to be alongside.
Watching him enjoy himself.
Happy.
Both of us nourished.
Letting go...
We won't be in the driver's seat forever.
This was my vantage point yesterday.
The oldest at the helm.
The entire family alongside.
Some nervous.
Some indifferent.
Some just hungry.
A short trek to the local market for dinner.
And we all lived to tell about it :)
No one said this growing up thing was going to be easy.
Life is a process of letting go.
Finn...
Love.
Wisdom.
Loyalty.
It pours from his eyes.
And every interaction.
Finn.
This morning.
Celebrating the anniversary of his Gotcha Day 10 years ago.
I made him sit for this frame.
He wasn't happy about it.
But he did it for me.
Even though he's not one for the camera.
I love this dog with every fiber of my being.
He reminds me...
...to be present
...to keep things simple
...that we don't really need much
...that petting him is good therapy
...that his walks are my walks too
...that while we're here, we should enthusiastically show up for each other, wagging our tails
Time and time again...
The back door.
The sunny spot.
Time and time again.
Day in.
Day out.
A frame on repeat.
