Cheers to the days when Mother Nature encourages us to slow down...
...and we listen.
Delivery boy...
Yesterday.
A half day of school.
We picked up donations.
Broke down some boxes.
Hauled them off to be recycled.
Together.
There's something about volunteering.
Working side-by-side with purpose.
The seeds it plants.
It delivers in more ways than one...
The back seat...
The only place I wanted to be...
Yesterday.
The sky unzipped.
We floated home...
...the only place I wanted to be.
Finn...
Finn.
On December 27th he turned 10.
In dog to human years he’s 70.
He’s grey in the face and butt.
Snores.
Has mellowed in many ways.
Still likes to chase a ball or a stick.
And more than anything, he just loves to be outside.
Most days, we have to call him back in.
He’d stay out there overnight if we let him.
I often say he’s going back to the wild....
...and writing that gives me a tearful tug on the heart.
I love this pup.
I love this chapter of Finn.
I’m hopeful it’s a long one.
