The sky unzipped.
We floated home...
...the only place I wanted to be.

Finn.
On December 27th he turned 10.
In dog to human years he’s 70.
He’s grey in the face and butt.
Snores.
Has mellowed in many ways.
Still likes to chase a ball or a stick.
And more than anything, he just loves to be outside.
Most days, we have to call him back in.
He’d stay out there overnight if we let him.
I often say he’s going back to the wild....
...and writing that gives me a tearful tug on the heart.
I love this pup.
I love this chapter of Finn.
I’m hopeful it’s a long one.
Passport photos.
Adventure awaits.
“Nobody can discover the world for somebody else. Only when we discover it for ourselves does it become common ground and a common bond and we cease to be alone.”
~ Wendell Berry, A Place on Earth
