What to pick back up...

Yesterday.

I wanted to scream F&$K as loud as I could.
From the highest mountain top.
Into the void.
Frustrated.
Tired.
Tension across my shoulders.
The weight of life.
The weight of the world.
And so many things.
Sitting heavy.

Today.

Nothing has changed.
But I no longer want to scream.
I've paused.
Set my 'pack' down.
Spread out the contents around me.
And I'm just sitting with them.
Seeing each one.
Individually.

A simple act of rest.
Recognition.

And a conscious decision awaits...

What to pick back up.

If anything.

Wild curiosity...

Yesterday.
9:45 AM.

Finn barking in the backyard.
That 'I see a fox' bark.

Sara yells 'Come look'.

I run to the back room and look out the window.
Finn and the fox are practically nose to nose.
The metal fence between them.
His tail wagging.

A back and forth along the fence line.
A minute or two of wild curiosity.

A simple thing that brought me so much joy.
