These everyday interactions...
If there’s a ball close by,
There’s a good chance we’re battling for it.
Before bed, brushing teeth.
Leaving the house, putting shoes on.
Fighting for control…
…and the ultimate reward — a nutmeg
…and perhaps a short-lived celebratory smile
…until we’re back at it.
These everyday interactions continue to snowball in my mind.
How small they seem at the time.
How big they really are.
There’s a shelf life in all this.
